also ou are cordially invited to attend the St. Patrick’s Society Annual Charity Ball to be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Centre Mont-Royal.

Originating in 1834 the Annual Charity Ball is Montreal’s longest running social event and is an opportunity for Irish Montrealers and their friends to come together to celebrate the official opening of “The Irish Season”

We are pleased to announce that our Honorary Chairman for the Charity Ball will be Mr. John Murphy,  Managing Partner and CEO of BLG Law Firm. He prides himself on being a dynamic business leader, prioritizing innovation, diversity, and client service. John encourages BLG members to be involved in their community and promotes this through his own involvement with several boards and organizations.  As Honorary Chair,  he will ensure that this year’s event not only upholds the rich traditions of the past but also embraces new and exciting opportunities to support the Society’s vital work.  John is thrilled to be part of such a cherished tradition and to contribute to the continued success of an event that celebrates the spirit of community, heritage, and philanthropy.

Tickets pricing is increasing slightly, corresponding with the Society’s increased costs. Regular ticket price is 325$ and 225$ for juniors (ie under 30 years old).

Please note that the dress code for this event is black tie; this includes ball gowns and tuxedos or business suits.

The St. Patrick’s Society of Montreal was founded in 1834 and is one of the oldest cultural and charitable organizations in Canada. The chief purpose of the Society is to support Montreal’s Irish community via charitable, cultural and educational endeavours. This year will mark our 190th anniversary.

The monies raised at the Ball and our other events support our charitable, cultural and educational mission. One of the ways we raise monies to support our mission the Ball’s Patrons’ Fund. Please consider donating to the Ball’s Patrons’ Fund. Donations of all sizes are welcome. As the Society is a registered charity, an official tax receipt will be issued to you for the full amount. Lastly all donors are recognized as “Patrons” of the event in our printed program for the evening plus all donors attending the Ball are invited to a special VIP pre-dinner cocktail reception.

We understand you may not be able to attend the Ball. As a show of support for the Society’s good work, please give generously to the Patrons’ Fund by making donation online at the Society’s web site https://spsmtl.com/charitable-giving/donate/ where you may also buy tickets to the Ball https://spsmtl.com/membership/transactions/ or by sending a cheque payable to St. Patrick’s Society of Montreal to 6767 Côte St. Luc Road, #1, Montreal, QC H4V 2Z6.
