Saint Patrick’s Society Presidents<\/h2>\n

La Société Saint-Patrick n’était pas une organisation politique, mais était largement charitable et national en vue, principalement social et éducatif. La Société était également non-sectaire. Le premier président était John Donnellan, un éminent citoyen de Montréal.<\/p>\n

La fondation de la Société Saint-Patrick a été suivie de près par la création de la Société Saint-Jean Baptiste le 24 juin 1834, la Société de Saint George, le 19 décembre 1834, la Société Saint Andrews, le 6 février 1835, et la Société allemande le 21 avril, 1835.<\/p>\n

La Société a continué comme non-sectaire jusqu’en 1856, sous la présidence capable d’hommes tels que John Donnellan, Benjamin Holmes, l’honorable Francis Hincks, Bernard Devlin, WF Batley, Thomas Ryan, et bien d’autres.
